With reports of PC Prices dropping, do you recommend to wait or will there be little to no difference?

I've always bought packaged builds before and now I plan on building my first budget PC (~500-750USD). Note that I'm in no hurry. And upon reading this article, I'm now thinking about postponing my purchase of parts.

Will it make a difference if I wait? How much savings can I expect if I wait, 3 months.. 6 months etc?
