Help with Impedance please.

I'm interested in making a basic speaker set up & the amplifier I have got is 8 ohms, however the speakers I want to get are 4 ohms. Is there a possible way to make this work, i.e. add more speakers? connect them in parallel or series?

I still can't really wrap my head around this stuff, my apologies if this sounds stupid.
