My husband just half jokingly suggested we sell everything and move from Florida to Scotland. Tell me why we shouldn't

My husband is the sole bread winner, and his job was just dissolved. Jobs are sparse where we live. We have a kid who hasn't started school yet. He has strong Scottish lineage, I have some. We've both been very into pretty much everything Scotland since we were kids. We visited Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness in 2005. Finally we felt at home. Everything was just so comfortable and felt "right" to us. (So much so that every day other tourists would come ask us for directions/info and tell us they were "dumb Americans".) However, how do you just pick up and leave? We're close to our family and have a tight-knit group of friends. Moving would mean not seeing them for a long time, until we could afford to visit. But Scotland has been singing it's siren's call for a long time. So talk me out of it!! ;)
