Morocco/Egypt/Kenya advice

I'm considering a trip to Africa this May/June. The route I'm looking at is below. Please let me me know what you think about my route, timeframe, and the season (weather, game viewing, etc.). I'm a seasoned traveler and am usually comfortable averaging a moderate pace (4-5 days in one place). I love culture, food, and nature. I'm traveling by myself but I'm a pretty adventurous and confident traveler. I don't have a specific budget, but definitely need to keep it below $5k. I'm estimating $2200 for flights and $500 for the safari (is this reasonable?). I'd also appreciate any other advice you have (good eats, things not to miss, safari suggestions, etc.), or alternate route suggestions.

NYC->Morocco 6 days: Marrakech, Fez, or ??

Morocco->Egypt 5 days: Cairo, Giza tour

Egypt->Kenya 7 days: Nairobi, 4-5 day safari and ?

Nairobi->NYC
