Jackie Robinson Movie '42' Discussion Thread

Just saw the movie last night. While I love every baseball movie, this one fell slightly below expectations. It was definitely a good movie but it just felt like it was missing something.

Good-

• I love the actors that they picked... for the most part.
• I enjoyed their focus on his pre-professional career.
• Mrs. Robinson is extremely attractive

Bad-

• Harrison Ford. I couldn't think of the character as Branch Rickey. It just seemed like Harrison Ford trying too hard with the "old man accent."
• It seemed kinda cheesy or that the director was trying too hard.
• Some of the "extras" in the movie were awful actors.

Thoughts?
