Pebble to Pebble connectivity?

I was just thinking about the potential of games and apps on the pebble that could incorporate pebble to pebble actions. Like two player Tetris or many simple board game style play patterns like battleship, connect 4, etc.

Given the fact that much pebble's power lies in it having the phone do most of the heavy lifting, is that something that is possible? (I'm a toy designer, not a developer, so I'm not sure of pebble's realistic capabilities once we do get access to a true SDK)
