All cars should be manufactured with the fuel tank door on the driver side

First of all, I had a hell of a time trying to determine what to call the thing on a car that you put the gas into. Would it be too crazy of an idea if someone actually came up with a name for the thing? Secondly, I think it should be a standard that every car should be manufactured with this gas tank door on the driver side of the vehicle.

Have you ever been to a gas station at rush hour on a Thursday evening? It's absolutely chaos. Its a mess. There is no order. Everyone is simultaneously trying to quickly be in and out, but it can never be that easy. There is confusion and disorder and everyone gets caught in a tangled mess. I believe if we all pulled up to the gas dispenser in the same direction then the opportunity for a consistent traffic flow would be increased greatly.

Also, have you ever borrowed someone's car or rented a vehicle and pulled up to a gas station assuming that the gas tank door was on the same side of the vehicle as your personal car, but only to find out that it's actually all the way on the other side of the car? It's embarrassing. It's defeating. It's the worst.

I think we can fix this. Lets bring peace of mind to drivers all across the world. Write your local senator. Tell all of your friends. Let this subreddit be the birth place of the next great revolution. Lets get this taken care of!
