How can I give my new place some curb appeal. Warning: very ugly and rectangular.

I just acquired this 4-plex in an up and coming neighborhood. The windows have since been replaced. I feel like I could easily just re-paint the building and all the trimmings white and it would look a bit better - but it would still be a very boring building. I've looked into stripping the paint off the red brick but it's quite the process. Anybody have any suggestions? Thank you very much.
