Oblivion Review (spoiler free)

So I just got back from having seen Oblivion for the second time, and I have to tell you this movie is everything I want from a science fiction summer movie. It is an amazing theater experience. The cinematography is breath taking, I only wish I could have seen it in IMAX. The story has good pacing, and doesn't drag, and has plenty of twists and turns. It's not predictable like the trailer might make it seem. All the actors involved bring their A game. The best scenes in the movie are the ones involving Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman's character. The two have great chemistry together. Joseph Kosinski has put together an amazing sci-fi summer movie. It's incredible to think this is only his second film. While I liked Tron (his first film) I have to say Oblivion is miles better. Everything about this movies comes together to make a great theater experience. I loved the fact that this movie didn't reply too much on green screen like many movies often do these days. Filming it in Iceland was a brilliant idea and really paid off. Over all this movie is a must watch in Theaters. It'll be good on a home viewing as well, but the big screen really makes this movie. Tom Cruise, whether you're a fan or not does a great job of anchoring this film. Like I said before this was my second viewing. The first time around I got to see it with a few friends who were Tom Cruise fans, while the second time around I managed to convince a few of my friends who aren't very fond of the man to attend and all of them loved the film. Over all I'd give this movie a solid 7/10 as far as movies goes, but a 10/10 as far as a theater experience goes.

Edit: I almost forgot to add the score by MI8 is incredible.
