[HB] Difference between Energy fighters and BnZ aircraft, also Energy fighting help

Air

It was recently brought to my attention that there were 3 different types of aircraft: turn n burn, energy fighter, and boom n zoom. However, while the difference between turn n burn and the other 3 is obvious, I have heard many people tell me energy fighting is different from boom n zooming, and many other people tell me quite the opposite (that they're the exact same) So which is exactly is it?

I have been trying to learn how to energy fight for the past week, and the more i think about it the more it seems that it's the same as boom n zooming.

On the other side of things, I, in my F4U-1a Corsair have failed to successfully whittle down an enemy's energy in historical battles against every nation over 50 games. All of my kills have come from the boom n zoom aspect of energy fighting. I have found that specifically German aircraft i have a very hard time with because they don't bleed energy AT ALL. Many times I've had enemies use their energy to chase me, but I can never leave them "defenseless" as described as energy fighters should be doing. Have I not grasped the full concept of energy fighting, does it not exist in HB, or am I just not playing it properly? I really really really really really want to learn how to properly energy fight because I have heard it is the most rewarding style of play, but i'm stumped. No matter what i do i manage to have FW190's on the enemy team that climb faster than me and just kill me in one pass, and zeroes keep up in my climb back up (almost, I still pull away). Russian aircraft are the only aircraft that i really feel that i have an advantage against as an "energy fighter." Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!
