Sexual Addiction & Chastity

So. I've been seeing a therapist for a couple months now regarding sexual addiction. It involves porn and masturbation, not hookers/etc. I never thought I had a problem until I realized how much it was affecting my life: how much time I was wasting, how much I was neglecting real-life relationships, how I couldn't stop, etc.

So. Chastity has always been an interest in mine. I'm into a lot of kink stuff. I am currently single, and probably will be for a while.

My therapist wants me to go 90 days without any porn whatsoever (online or physical media), sexual contact in real life, and without masturbation. 90 days is supposed to be enough time to let my brain and body chemistry change and stuff.

So far, after trying many times, I've made it to about 2 weeks without masturbating. Then I got the idea of using a chastity device to "help." Does anyone have experience with using a chastity device for a purpose like that? Any ideas/opinions?

I have the concern that, since the idea of chastity turns me on quite significantly, it would be counter-productive. I have worn chastity devices in the past, but not for an extended period of time (a few days at a time). Emotionally (as opposed to just "sexually"), I would be very interested in wearing a chastity device 24/7.
