I can't load imgur images

For the past few days, my friend and I have be unable to load images on imgur. I can load the front page, but none of the images display and neither do direct links to images (meaning half of Reddit is dead for me).

I AM able to load a imgur mirror however (http://filmot.com/) and all the images load just fine. I'm not sure if this is a problem specifically on my end or an issue with my University's network? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm running 64 bit Ubuntu using Google Chrome. My friend is using some version of Windows (haven't seen his computer, but I'm assuming 7)

UPDATE: I'm also getting 100% packet loss on ping attempts to imgur which makes me think that it's a network problem
