Kevin Butler Discussion

It's unfortunate that PlayStation doesn't have commercials any longer involving Kevin Butler (played by Jerry Lambert) promoting the newest PS exclusives. I used to enjoy watching the commercials; they were probably among the most well-thought ads that I have seen. Each of them was hilarious, smart, and got the point across. Not to mention the "It Only Does Everything" and "Long Live Play" slogans were superb. And don't even get me started on his E3 presentation.. Simply amazing.

Of course, after the fiasco involving Kevin Butler's retirement, I can't see him coming back any time soon. This is a shame because, like I said, his commercials are really great.

In the end, it really didn't matter what kind of gamer you are, because his message stayed the same. Long Live Play. It's unfortunate we most likely will not be seeing him again. Kevin Butler is definitely somebody I'd like to have heard announce the PlayStation 4, among all the other exclusives we still have left for PS3 to come.

So, I was wondering. Those of you who have viewed the advertisements, what did you think? I'm hoping Sony attempts to have a new ad campaign as good or better than the one they introduced with Mr. Butler. He really was a great figure for PlayStation.
