Thinking about going to Forecastle

Hey r/Louisville, I'm a high schooler that lives about two hours away from Louisville. Me and my friend were wanting to go to Broo, but our parents didn't like the idea of us camping alone for three days. Luckily, we found out about Forecastle, which still has an awesome line-up (Matt & Kim!), and is much cheaper. We were planning on getting one day tickets, and then staying with my friend's brother, who lives in Louisville. But we still have a few questions. 1.) Our parents really want to know if Forecastle is, well, safe, 2.) Anything we should expect? 3.) Any Do's/Don'ts? This is our first festival. 4.) Recommendations for food?
