New nursing student worried about the job market?

I just got accepted into an ABSN at Rutgers University. Given I have a short time in school, I'm trying to get ahead of the curve in terms of securing a job, moving on and getting ahead.

Do you have any advice? I know it's tough out there, I just wanted to improve my probabilities as much as possible.

I have the impression that LTC is sort of the kiss of death for an RN in terms of meaningful experience and experience on resume, is that true?

My ideal plan is to either go NP or any other advanced nursing type of profession or PA.

Any suggestions about other nursing fields would be great as well!

Does anyone know about tuition reimbursement for the DNP generally speaking?
