I have a strange question. I'm looking to change careers and go to school to become an EMT and ultimately become a paramedic. Is it difficult to get a job after you get the schooling in a metropolitan area such as Seattle?
I'm currently a culinary professional and no longer feel like it's that fulfilling of a career choice. Plus I will never have a 401k or insurance of any sort in my current path. I think that the fast pace and thinking on your feet aspect of being a paramedic are similar to that of working in a professional kitchen. I have an attention to detail from working in fine dining and to tell the truth I come from a family of medical professionals so I've always been interested in medicine and helping others. I just don't want to go through the schooling and find I blew a few grand on it and not be able to find work. As stated above I live in the greater Seattle area adn do not want to move to far away. Last fact. I'm 30 right now. Is that to old? I'm a rather active person with decent physical health. Can anyone give me a bit of info/guidence?
