What to do in Newark during a layover?

Hello r/Newark. I'll be travelling home from Europe to Canada and I have a seven hour layover in Newark. What are some interesting things to do in your city? I was thinking about maybe going into New York City for a while. Is seven hours a reasonable amount of time to see Time Square/the Empire State Building, etc? What would you all recommend?
