Experiences at Seaside Sanatorium in Waterford, CT

Hello /r/ paranormal!

I had visited Seaside a few months prior to today, and even went inside (shh it's off limits). When inside, I had a few experiences, but nothing major. Just footsteps and creepy feelings. I had known the history of the building front to back; it had been a place for the ill, and a LOT of children stayed there. So, knowing I'd be trespassing on the kids, I brought a stuffed animal and left it inside of the main building and said a little prayer and wished them well.

The other building, I could not get into at all. It's entirely blocked off. I had brought another stuffed animal to leave in that building but couldn't. So, I put it at the bottom of a locked stairwell (I threw it down so that it would be sitting at the very bottom.) It's here that I had my experience.

I went to the same stairwell where I had tossed the stuffed puppy dog and searched high and low for it, but it was nowhere to be found. That's when I said, "Hello! Where's the puppy?" I immediately heard a little girl's voice whisper, "Inside..." I was taken aback. I kept asking the question, and she kept responding. I loved how no matter what, she would always say, "It's inside...inside.."

I was walking away and stopped to take a picture. I felt a warm squeeze on my leg; like a hug. Somehow I kind of knew it was the little girl. Almost like she was thanking me for the puppy. :)
