Deciding on a major

I'm a freshman at Carnegie Mellon. I got in for a non-engineering major, but i took some engineering classes and I liked it, plus i disliked my humanities classes a lot. I know this may sound stupid, but I'm an Iron Man fanboy and would be as close to Tony Stark as possible. I have a variety of options and needed your help here.

  1. ECE (not guaranteed, I applied and was told to reapply for the internal tranfer after another semester of classes, so I would have the pursue one of the next two options if i did this as a backup pathway)

  2. Self-Defined Major Software engineering (must be a B.A.)

  3. Self-Defined Major Mechatronic Engineering (must be a B.A.)

  4. ECE at URochester as transfer

  5. CS at URochester as transfer

  6. MechE at URochester as transfer

  7. CS at NYU as a transfer
