Question about upper-division courses

I am a recently admitted transfer student majoring in Biological Anthropology.

How does it work? I'm going to transfer to UCSB with 91.5 quarter units and I only need 40 upper-division units (Including another 12 for prerequisites I still need to take) to satisfy the Bio Anthro B.A., but I know I need 180 quarter units in order to graduate. Can I take the remaining courses in anything (Upper and lower division)?

td:lr transferring with 91.5 units; I need 40 UD for my major and another 12 LD for prerequisites; will have 36.5 units left. What do I do with these units?
