Thoughts on lost progress.
It's been a long road from unhealthy and unfit to looking and eating damn good. After a year and a half of hard work I took on 3 jobs with no extra time for myself to workout or cook healthy meals. Some days pizza is the only thing I have energy to cook. After work today I decided I would stop and treat myself to a nice dress at a store on the way home. From the moment I took my shirt off I realized just how much I had been neglecting my fitness routine, and really, neglecting Me. There that small spare tire was wrapping it's way around my once tiny and taught waist. I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it before. What was I seeing when I looked in the mirror, and how did I let it get this bad? All of my progress : gone. Aside from the fitness and nutrition intelligence I've learned throughout my journey the most important lesson has been that of perseverance. When you think that last rep just ain't gonna happen somehow you dig deep and knock it out (even if it that knock out has to be slow and wobbly). The last 5 minutes of my run are always the most painful, but damn it feels good once I conquer them. And that's the key. After the moment of shame that washed over me from seeing that wobbly flesh around my waist I looked in the mirror proudly and exclaimed " I will conquer you". It doesn't matter how much I've lost because no matter what I will always bounce back. I am still sexy. I am still strong. And I am still on my way to being the best me I can be.
Keep going ladies.
