iPad 2 digitizer replaced, everything works almost.
So I replaced my iPad 2's digitizer, I nicked the power flex cable while I was at it so I replaced that as well. It's still not sealed back up, the digitizer and LCD are still not stuck/screwed down yet. Volume, home, mute all work just fine. Long pressing the power button powers it up, but after the power logo it goes completely dark. I can wake it up with the home button and everything works perfect, except the power button. Long pressing the power button brings up the shut down option, but a short press to turn the display on and off never works. I can press hard, soft, whatever, and it completely ignores all short presses of the power button. I can gently long hold the power button and it will bring down the shut down option every time.
So It's like a software problem from what it looks like. It can see the power button presses, but chooses to ignore them if they are short. Has anyone ever seen anything like this who can possibly offer some insight?
