I will define men and tell them how to act. Your side of the family and your friends are bad and you cannot associate with them.

I set all the standards for your behavior. I will be the sole arbiter of what it right, not you. If you disagree then I will silence you (like in Toronto).

This sounds a lot like the definition of someone with control issues in an abusive relationship.
