Treating an Abscess Anonymously?
Here is the gist: I missed my first shot and of course it was a particularly nasty concoction (heroin, meth, and my own blood from having to repoke). The area doesn't appear to be raised but it does seem hardened so I can feel its outline. It hurts a tad touch and is a bit warm, but there is no discoloration. From what I read, good symptoms of a developing abscess unless I get lucky.
The question I now have is: I am on my parents' healthcare. If I go to a doctor or the ER and give them my insurance, will it be some how reported in one way or the other, such as through a bill that'd say 'lancing' or something that would lend itself toward questions? I obviously do not want my family to find out and want to avoid awkward questions. Or should I just go to the ER and have them look at it and say I have no insurance, but I do not know if that costs and I have no money until next month which might be too late.
tl;dr: Maybe an abscess starting. Can I get it fixed anonymously; how do I go about getting it treated without alerting my parents to the risks I take as a miserable junkie?
And, yes, I know this seems silly to having to worry about parents when you're shooting meth and heroin and could lose an arm, but every cent of my means to live comes from them while I finish school, and I am not going to mess that up and be forced to drop out if I can help it, understandably.
