Honest question

If someone believes in something I don't, why should I care, how does that affect my life?

Edit: I'm not from the US.

Edit 2: Why is religious violence more special, than other kinds of violence, why do people think without religion there wouldn't be violence, why do they think violent religious people would otherwise be friendly atheists and what does violence have to do with stupid FB posts?

Edit 3: ChuckZombie helped me understand what I wasn't understanding here with his comment.

Well, I guess that wouldn't fall under discussion in a religious-based sub-reddit, now would it? It's not like atheists say "Religion is not involved, so we don't care." It's more like, "Religion is not involved, so there's no reason to talk about it HERE."

Religious violence is not special, this subreddit just isn't for other kinds of violence. Damn, it's so simple yet I couldn't comprehend it. It's 3:26 here, I clearly need some sleep.
