I'm trying to watch the show legally online on HBO...

I'm trying to watch the show legally online and as I understand it you can only do that with an HBO subscription. My housing provides my cable for me but my parents house I know has HBO on Brighthouse. I don't know if that necessarily means they have a subscription and if so, if I would be able to use that to watch the show online. Anybody know what the deal is?
