Anyone know this maker's mark on a 50+ year old buck saw?
This is the maker's mark on my great grandfather's man-and-a-half, champion tooth buck saw. All I can make out on it is a "-ELL (symbol) WARRA-" and "PATENT CO-" underneath. The symbol looks like a scale. There are no markings on the handle, and the large button that usually has a symbol stamped on it on other saws is missing. Thanks for any help!
EDIT: I found detailed information on the etching/stamp on the blade here: http://www.disstonianinstitute.com/etch.html
Based on that, and what I can make out from the blade, it's probably pre-1910. My saw's over 100 years old! Woo hoo!
