Time Complexity

Does anyone know a little about computational complexity theory and its branch, time complexity? I'm writing my extended essay (IB program) on this subject and I thought I'd turn to you guys for some knowledge of it and/or links to tutorials regarding calculations of length functions depending on the nature of calculation required (e.g. natural series term search, logarithmic series term search etc.). Any pointers would be immensely appreciated! Thanks
