Parents, iPhones, Privacy.
This seems the best place for this question, my apologies if it is not. I will try to make this as short as possible. I am 17.
Girlfriend has fascist parents, they monitor and control everything they can in their power, especially their kids. They demand access to any known accounts and emails, and the kids are punished if they refuse. They will drive around town watching the kids if they go out. The kids must ask to do anything, sometimes including going to certain areas of the house. They monitor every in and out text and call the kids receive. I could go on for quite awhile.
After nearly a year they learned that I was of a low social standing, I have been homeless most of my life since birth, and at the time I was living with about 10 other people in a large house that had no utilities. Once they learned this they told her and her siblings they were forbidden to speak with me or anyone of my friends.
She broke this rule, they took away all of her electronics and hobbies, and verbally abused her for weeks, even turning her siblings on her, making them believe she hated her family.
I now live in a decent place with my best friend 32 miles from her, but I have a computer and above average skill in using it.
Today they gave her an iPhone, probably because at this point, there is nothing they could do to her that has not already been done. I know they have control of her Apple ID, but I am unsure of what they can monitor with that. All I want is a safe way for us to be able to communicate. Advise me r/privacy?
