an uncompromised life
I'm in my mid 30s, male, heterosexual, and forever alone.
there is a reason, and by taking away all the structure and creations of my existence, at the core, the foundation, is the fact that I would never compromise my ideals.
I live a life one could describe as straight(edge). I do not partake in intoxicants. I live an ethical lifestyle. I value morality, beyond the reddit version. I believe in strict monogamy. These are things I've believed since I was a child, and I've never violated them. I'm fairly successful in my life even with these constraints.
over my lifetime, I'm met a handful of women/girls who met the criteria of being compatible with these beliefs. Or, at least I thought I did. Some proved to be not quite as I interpreted, and others were not interested in me. Mind you, the total number of interests is about five.
now, successful as I am, I have not contributed to humanity in a way that will transcend my lifetime. I'm not newton or kennedy or mandela. The only possible success left for me is to create another human who may possibly be one of those outliers of humanity; or if not, to continue the cycle.
in order to do this, I have to find a mate. This is where I feel the task is impossible. There are almost no women in my age-appropriate range that meet my criteria. So that leaves me the option of compromising. This I cannot do.
I cannot imagine a life with someone who drinks or used to drink alcohol/use intoxicants. I cannot imagine a life with someone who has had sexual relations with someone. I cannot even imagine a life with someone who has kissed someone else as I have saved that moment for my partner and my heart would break knowing I'm not the only one to have had intimacy with her.
so my choice is made. I'm forever alone.
