Does anyone else find it disturbing that people don't like the Nexus 1000V?

I have been using the Nexus 1000V without any problems for awhile now. The 1000V has a plethora of security features you can't get with a normal vDS and the simple fact is that if you do not have the Nexus 1000V it is not possible for you to have a secure network. I am not talking about anything advanced, just basic network security features that any secure network run by a competent network admin should have. If you don't think this is the case then I really don't know what to tell you since this is a fact. I am pretty shocked after reading posts like this - http://www.reddit.com/r/vmware/comments/1c7yd7/nexus_1000v_on_hyperv_announced_to_all_hyperv/ - http://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/1c7eut/cisco_ports_nexus_1000v_virtual_switch_to/ I have had this same argument with people that I work with. I have never had a problem with the 1000V. There is a steep learning curve and 95% of the problems people have with it probably have to do with not setting up the packet, control, and management VLANs correctly to get the proper connectivity to the VSM and vCenter. I remember there was a problem with the GUI installer not working but I always did a manual install and never had problems after that. If I had to guess, I would bet that most people don't really understand what the 1000V really is. I know a lot of people have trouble understanding what a vDS is never mind the 1000V and how the VLANs and VSM work all work together.

The Cisco VSG now included for free with the 1000V is an extremely powerful product that can really lock down and secure your network. But if you have problems with the 1000V then the VSG will blow your mind.

The Nexus 1000V also supports Trustsec and Security Group Tags which is going to become a huge thing in the network security world.

I just find the whole argument with the 1000V and what people think about it very strange. I have never seen this kind of reaction to a powerful product like the 1000V before.
