Any tips or advice you all have for long trips? (~3400 mi round trip on CBR250R)

I'm planning a solo trip on my CBR250R from Austin up to San Francisco and back this summer. Any tips and advice are welcome.

I understand it will probably be pretty uncomfortable on such a small bike, but my timetable is very loose, so I'll be able to take my time getting down there and back. (maybe 8 hours of driving a day, split up into 4 hour chunks, maybe spending a few days in the cities along the way).

My bike is currently at around 5000 miles, and I'm thinking about getting it looked at in SF by a shop (needs to get maintained at by 8000 according to the manual).
