I have several self-injury scars, can I get a tattoo that will sufficiently cover them? Pictures inside [potential trigger-warning]

These scars are almost 4 years old, I can't tell you how many scars there are total because there are a lot with a lot of cross-hatching. Most of them are faded/flat but there are a few raised scars that I am concerned about covering.

How successfully can I cover these scars? Can anyone post pictures of their own scar cover-up? I am concerned about the ink bleeding and the edges of my tattoos becoming blurry when it passes through the scar tissue.

I am beyond the depression and the shitty "friends" I had that led me to cut. I just have issues about revealing my scars and I wonder if a tattoo will help me or if it will look ten times shittier
