Need some help with troubleshooting my adapter

For the past few weeks I've been using this with the two 16gb microsd cards that came with it, and it's been working perfectly. The psp could see and use the full 32gb no problem. I recently ordered four more 16gb microsd cards to use with two adapters that the previous owner of the psp included with the system. Both adapters are the standard PhotoFast adapters.

After popping the new microsds into the adapters, I put one in the psp to format it and copied what data I needed to it. All worked well. When I went to switch back to the adapter I originally had in the psp, it couldn't read the memory stick and I had to reformat it. After reformatting it seemed to be fine, but as I was loading the data back on the card I realized it only recognized 14gb of the 32gb in the adapter. My guess is this is why it needed to be reformatted - it couldn't read one of the cards all of a sudden, and 14gb is the standard read size of 16gb cards.

I've tried reformatting the cards in the psp multiple times with no luck. I've tried switching back to the new adapter and back to the original again with no luck. Repeatedly removing and reinserting the adapter in the psp hasn't worked yet. Right now I'm trying to format the microsds in my computer, put them back in the adapter, and try to put the adapter in the computer and copy a memory stick backup to it and see if the psp will read it. These adapters can't be used in a computer's card reader after being used in a psp, so I'm not sure it will work.

Any advice as to how to get the psp to recognize both microsds again? All I did was take the adapter out of the psp and it stopped working.

Edit: Nevermind, I got it working. I changed the cards around to make sure it was the adapter and not one of the microsds, and it was the adapter. As it turns out this particular adapter is just very picky about exactly where the microsds are, and I had to pull them out of the adapter just a bit and reformat it yet again to get it to work.
