Down 50 and half way there! (with progress pics)
5'8" female, 214.6lbs as of this morning. I am down 43lbs since November, and I have lost 31lbs in the past 90 days. Grand total is 50lbs lost since my heaviest last April.
Just this past week, I found out that I have hypothyroidism and started medication on Wednesday. So yes, I lost 50lbs with untreated hypothyroidism.
All weight loss is attributed to maintaining a 1200 calorie average daily intake, eating more vegetables, drinking more water, and cutting out a great deal of unhealthy and processed foods. I use MyFitnessPal.com every day (add me! Username same as reddit name!) I don't hit the gym, and get most of my exercise biking or walking to and from campus. I do go on hour long bikes rides on occasion when the weather is nice.
Here's a face comparison Left: May 2012, 265+lbs. Right: Today, 214.6lbs
Fun comparison Left: Fall 2011 Right: March 2013
My advice: Buy a kitchen scale, sign up for myfitnesspal.com, and most importantly, stop making excuses! That was the biggest hurdle I had to overcome. I'm excited to lose the other 50!
