My girlfriend is visiting me this summer for about a week. Places to go? Things to see?

So I am a college student coming home for the summer and my girlfriend (not from CA) is coming to visit me for the first time for about a week sometime in May/June. I am trying to figure out places to show her and things to do that don't cost too much. I live in Sherman Oaks and have a car so driving isn't an issue.

I am in the brainstorming stage at this point so any suggestions would be great.
