Do any of you know places in the East Bay that sell stolen bikes and parts?? My rear wheel was stolen last night and I want to at least try to get it back.

Hey r/BAbike, Someone ripped the back wheel off my bike while it was locked at Rockridge BART yesterday.

Before anyone asks: yes, I submitted a police report with OPD and Bart Police.

In my quest to maximize any small chance I may have of getting it back, I'll be checking craigslist for it, perusing the flea market tomorrow, and hitting up Karim's Cycle in Berkeley since it's well known he sells stolen stuff.

My question for you guys is if anyone knows any other places I might look!

Also what's everyone's experience with this kind of stuff: if it's going to resurface somewhere, about how long might it take? If I can find it, how can I prove it's mine? I don't have a serial number or anything (I don't even know if wheels are serialized) but it's a pretty distinctive bright red wheel and I have it's matching pair...

Oh and I might as well describe the thing, in case anyone sees it. It's a bright red Weinmann DP18 rim with a black origin8 hub, black and blue tires, and a blue fixed cog. Pretty unique.

P.S. Upvotes for visibility wouldn't hurt, I get no karma for this self post and it might serve as a good PSA for locking both your wheels...
