Any of you throwers have a Yomega Ooch?

My friend just picked one up and it is ridiculously responsive. Like 90% of the time it won't even sleep. We both spent a few hours throwing it trying to break it in but still just as responsive. The product description says it's supposed to be an unresponsive yoyo. I can't find much about this problem anywhere.

Can anyone with an Ooch comment on how theirs was out of the box? Did it come with spacers? My friend thinks it could have and he lost them. I think it could be a manufacturer defect.

I know it's a cheap yoyo (~$20). Not sure how much effort to put into getting it to work, especially since it's his secondary yoyo. Still, it's nice to have a backup yoyo at work/in the car/friends house, so it'd be nice to get it working.
