Before and after Pics + how i got there.
The first picture will be me at 170 pounds or so... that wasnt my worst. My worst was 192 pounds but i dont have a picture from that time, so just use your imagination to add those extra pounds!
The second picture is me at 145 pounds.
How i got there: I had always been chubby, but led an active life-style because of basketball and volleyball. After my junior year of h.s i quit my vball team. That led me to gain an extra 20 something pounds, and i peaked at 192 when i came back from a vacation with my family in may. My yearly doctos visit resulted in terrible news, i had a cholesterol of 220, borderline diabetic. Thats when i knew i had to change.
How i lost it: I did a LOT of things. I stopped drinking soda, stopped eating after 6 pm (that was the toughest thing by FAR), started working out.
My workouts: At first i focused only on cardio, but that was super tough because i am asthmatic. I had problems jogging for more than 10 minutes. After a couple months i had lost around 10 lb (i was a very very slow weight loser) and started progressing. At the year mark i had lost 25 pounds and was able to do a LOT more. Usually i ran about 3 miles plus added routines for my arms, legs, back etc.
Where i am now: Right now i have lost a total of 47 lb. However when i add that i was more flab than muscle im sure the number would be a lot more substantial. Not only have i lost that but i have more than double my strengh. This past may, my max bench press was 120lb.. now my max bench press is 250!! My cardio workouts are 8 miles long (with my speed record 46 minutes 22 seconds). My routines are rather grueling now, but also incredibly fun because these are things that i couldnt have even dreamed off even a few months ago.
I am 5 foot 7 in both pics, havent grown since ive been 15 years old =/
What i hope to do: Amazingly enough im pursuing a certificate from A.C.E to become personal trainer and even got sponspored by a gym, so it wont cost me that much!
My goals: bench 300lb. Run 10 miles in under an hour and 5 minutes, get fully formed abs (i have them, but they arent as developed as i would like).
