Tablet for condo music portal - App suggestions?

I've put an old HP Touchpad running ICS in my kitchen hooked up to some studio monitors through a mixer, and right now I'm running PlayerPro to play music throughout my condo.

Is there any music app which I can control remotely through another Android (or iOS) device? Or is there a better solution to wanting to control music through a stationary Android device?

Basically, ok, you know how in iTunes you can remotely control the playback through the iTunes remote app on iOS devices? I can have music playing on my laptop and use my phone to change the song? Same idea here, but with an HP Touchpad running ICS rather than something running iTunes.
