Can we slow down for a second...

I believe I will probably be down voted for this but really what do I care. We need to slow down with the McCann will be traded talks. This is not meant in anyway to disrespect Gattis it is just simple.

The guy has 30 ML ABs. There are so many guys who have good starts and even better starts to their career in their first 30 ML ABs. He still has a lot to prove though. He has to show an ability to make adjustments. Right now a lot of pitchers are getting the feel for him and seeing what he can hit but not necessarily pitching to him.

For some perspective, let's compare Gattis' 30 AB to another guy Braves fans jumped on... Jeff Francoeur(and his 1st 30 AB).

• Gattis: .333/.412/.767, 5 XBH(4 HR), 4 BB, 7 K

• Francoeur: .433/.433/.833, 6 XBH(3 HR), 0 BB, 7 K

Also keep in mind Gattis lasting a full ML season is questionable. The most games Gattis has caught in a season is at most 80 games (if he played all 52 games in college behind the plate in 2010, which is doubtful). Teams also do not trade star players(and clubhouse guys) midseason when they are contenders.
