[DCSS] Help with Inventory/Spell/Ability Tabs on tiles

So I just downloaded Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup for the first time after searching for a good roguelike game (This is personal favorite right next to Dwarf Fortress) and I've been wondering how people get tabs like in the 2nd picture at (http://imgur.com/a/hoHHB).

I don't know if they can somehow maximize the window or change the resolution or something, but I would like to have separate windows.
