Need Help on What To Upgrade To

I want to upgrade my setup. I'm currently using an ion turntable and a Pioneer receiver. What kind of turntable should I look for at places like Goodwill and flea markets? I want to not spend a ton of money. I just want something that won't ruin my records and has a good sound on a low budget. Also, I saw two small Technic speakers for $10, would they be good for the set up?
