Women of Reddit, how short do you like men to trim their nails?

hello reddit. so I've always trimmed my nails very short, close to the skin. but recently I had a sexual encounter where the girl did the most wonderful things with her nails. I would like to be replicate the awesome sensations she was producing with light scratching so I've been growing my nails out a little. This morning they were like 1/8th of an inch long, I filed them down so the sharp edges were gone but when I scratch myself its a little painful. I wouldn't want to tear or hurt her with my nails, that'd be the opposite of my intent, so I'm thinking about trimming them. Ladies, how long do like your SO's to keep their nails?
