Revisions:

  1. Removed Raidmax PSU and replaced with OCZ ModXStream Pro

Final: Purchased all of the components for this machine about 5 minutes ago.

First time trying this out. Going to be pulling the trigger on the parts tomorrow probably. I am currently running a Dell E6610D (an old CAD machine I got for free) with an HD 6450.

Need pointers. This is about the MAX I want to spend on a machine. Any thoughts about any of this being crappy parts or more expensive combinations would be greatly appreciated.

Already have the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and a new 256GB SSD.

Roll of this computer is me messing around on linux dual booting windows to play Skyrim, Borderlands, and whatever else my wife doesnt know about on my Steam account.

Thank you in advance for the info.
