Instawallet crashed, or what?

I have used an IW address to move BTC through for a while now, never kept more than a small fraction in there though. Last week I tried to log into my bookmarked IW page to see what was up with it, and it would not log in. Then yesterday, I go to the page and they are saying I have to try and provide proof that it is indeed my IW page. What the hell happened with Instawallet? I am not super concerned because I only had 0.0003 or something like that in there but I am wondering why IW would have had any changes to it, and why they are asking for proof that it is my IW page I have been using?

If I had been keeping any significant amount of BTC in that Instawallet I would havebeen completely fucked, and I am sure that many people have indeed been completely fucked because of whatever happened. So WTF did happen?
