I would really like to not hate you but you're making that really difficult.
I'm glad you can look back on the memories fondly, but when I do all I see is a selfish lazy coward who kept dragging his feet. I would like to keep seeing the best in you, but the way you handled this breakup so far has made it nearly impossible.
You could just send my stuff back already. Why are you even holding onto it if you were so ready to abandon this relationship? I would love to go forward as two mature adults who shared a wonderful experience and must now go their separate ways. But you're making it awfully hard to not take this personally as rejection from someone I cared about so much.
Should I add, "I want the best for you," to the list of things you said but didn't mean? Or can you man up and treat me with a little respect, return my things and try to make peace of this all when you come home? What's best for me is that I can leave on my journey in July without feeling like I've got unfinished business with you.
