What exactly happens during mound visits?

Okay, so before this starts to sound like a dumb question, know that I understand the basic principle of a mound visit. Unless it's a pitching change, often the catcher or coach will jog out to the mound to settle a pitcher down if he's struggling, give a scouting report in a key situation, or to go over signals.

I'm just wondering if there is any more detail for the casual fan? I wonder if there is anything where we hear actual audio from a mound visit, kind of like the NFL does in these clips. It would be cool to hear exactly the exchange between pitcher and catcher depending on the situation and how the two are thinking of handling the batter.

I know other position players are sometimes mic'd up during special broadcasts with ESPN and maybe some other networks. But has a pitcher or catcher ever been?

I also know of the parabolic microphones most commonly seen on the sidelines of football games. These capture a lot of the on-field conversation and get the hard-hitting tackle noises. Surely these are utilized in some form on the ball field, but you don't see them in action nearly as much as you do in football.

Maybe there have been some AMA's where a pitcher has shed some light on what occurs during a mound visit?

There is a little bit of something in this clip of Carlos Zambrano but is there anything more?
