To Muslims: Was Muhammad the supreme moral being?
Please don't take offense to this, as I mean no harm, but I am extremely ignorant to this subject and this is the most active subreddit to learn in.
I am often told that Mohammed is the supreme moral being. He was the person from which all people should learn.
It is well known that he married Aisha at 6 and de-flowered her at 9, some argue it was actually 14, but it doesn't matter in this context, as Muhammad was around 50-60 at this time, correct?
When I brought this up to Muslims in the past, they always say "Well, that was because this was customary at the time."
If Mohammad was truly the more moral person to exist, I can only think of 3 options. Instead of taking this as criticism please just cure my ignorance because I am probably wrong.
-
Mohammad didn't marry Aisha at 6/9/14 or when she was underage at all, and at least a part of the Quran lied.
-
Mohammad is not the supreme moral being, which is what I am asking.
-
Paedophilia is moral under Islam.
If there are more options, whether you are muslim or not please add on.
