Mathematical Linguists [cross-post from r/math]

I just found out about Mathematical Linguistics and it seems interesting (more so for a hobby for me than a topic to rigorously go into). Are any of you guys mathematical linguists? Any opinions on the subject? (Just want to find out more about it)
